Celebrating Kelly and Ian's birthdays - March 2003
(Page 1 of 2)
A poem for Ian:
There once was a man who got a new house,
His time he spent setting up computer and mouse
Sure its your birthday but no taking a break
Keep unpacking those boxes for goodness sake.
Unpack the large boxes, and small ones too,
Just keep on going, there's so much to do.
Sure its your birthday but no taking a break,
Its the easiest way to avoid heartache.
Open every box, put it all away,
Or I'll be reading you this poem on your NEXT birthday.
A poem for Kelly:
A respectful poem I've written for thee,
In these lines there will certainly be
No mention of jelly, or smelly or belly
Instead I have a kind poem for Kelly.
Your focus right now, is certainly upon,
The upcoming running of a marathon.
But kick back tonight, lets have some fun,
It's thirty-six hours until your next run.
We will all celebrate your birthday tonight,
No need to be get worried, don't get all uptight.
For now we focus on the birthday of Kelly
Eeven if tomorrow:
Your legs feel like jelly,
of smoke you are smelly,
and the beers gone to your belly.
Once again a poem I couldn't write
Without those three words; they just make it right.
Before you begin the verbal assault
Talk to your parents, its just not my fault.
